Winchester-Clark County is a growing and thriving community and with growth comes added challenges and opportunities. Each year the Chamber presents a Program of Work to help reach our goals as an organization, serve our members and improve our community.
The Chamber is organized into five distinct committees; Health & Wellness, Business Education & Sustainability, Commerce Advocacy, Member Services and Ambassadors. We invite and encourage every Chamber member to become a part of one of these committees. Just click on the icons to find out more about each committee and their objectives.

The Mission and Purpose of this group is to foster a positive business environment in Clark County through enhanced goodwill, communication and public relations. Membership should be considered a privilege and for the purpose of promoting the Chamber's image and relationship among its members.
To promote fellowship within the Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce.
To act as representatives of the Chamber at all official chamber functions - to assist, meet and greet existing and prospective members at Chamber events such as Chamber Luncheons, Ribbon Cuttings and the Annual Dinner.
To create working relationships with the new members of the Chamber and encourage them to participate in Chamber events throughout the year.
To reach out to non-members through visitation and phone calls. To visit at least 10 members each year on behalf of the Chamber. These visits should be documented on the Ambassador Points sheet.

Health and Wellness
The mission of this group is to offer an ongoing program of wellness for chamber members that encompass physical activity, proper nutrition and good mental health. From personal trainers to medical professionals this team has the vision of creating a healthy community where people are striving to improve their health on a daily basis.
The Health and Wellness Team meets monthly to develop programs that will support the initiative of a healthy community. The team will provide a monthly electronic calendar listing activities going on in the community with times of exercise classes, upcoming races and other health related events. We will serve as the Chamber's point of reference for wellness communications. We will advise the Chamber of competitions and activities and spearhead participation. We will provide opportunity for feedback and recommendations. We will strive to become the Wellness Champions for the work place.

Business Education & Sustainability Team
Provide meaningful opportunities for Chamber member's active participation and input.
Assure the prolonged success of member organizations by providing a venue that shares information, exchanges ideas and assists in the promotion of the local economic environment thru member involvement and small business development assistance activities.
Identify, research and resolve issues important to the members and the business community.
Develop training as a result of member input

Commerce Advocacy Team
To provide advocacy for the Chamber of Commerce membership regarding public policy and community issues impacting commerce in Winchester and Clark County.
Goals will be accomplished through the implementation of the following:
Support a white paper detailing the impact of drug abuse with an impact on the business community and explore ways to use this information to advocate for policy changes to address the impact of the issue.
Assist in the facilitation of a "State of Education Summit" that includes the public school system, Bluegrass Community & Technical College, the Vocational School, the GED/Literacy program and the business community. The goal of the event is to inform and raise awareness and to further strengthen the partnership of business and education.
Support efforts to develop and implement the Mobilizing for Action through Planning & Partnerships (MAPP) initiative. program and share information from this initiative.
Conduct two public policy luncheons:
August luncheon for State issues impacting business
November/December luncheon to focus on Federal issues impacting business.
Continue to advocate for the recognition of Winchester/Clark County as the birthplace of Beer Cheese.
Continue to support and participate in the Community Action Plan process.
Explore the feasibility of establishing a Community-wide interactive Calendar of events.

Development and implementation of strategic community plans including property utilization, parks and recreation, visioning, transportation, green space, beautification and infrastructure.
Facilitate increased educational and communication opportunities for members and the community thru meetings with policy makers.
Serve as a conduit for members & the community on educational opportunities and partnerships.
