Community Partner Program

The Community Partner Program (CPP) rating system recognizes local organizations, businesses, and industries that go above and beyond their investment, promotion, and contributions to our community. The local community benefits by having partners who are involved and committed to making Winchester-Clark County a better place to live and work.

Criteria

1. Active member of the Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce, and in good standing.

2. Display a clean, organized, and well maintained facility.

3. Offer health and wellness programs to employees.

4. Established programs to reduce environmental footprint (such as recycling).

5. Employees who volunteer at local community nonprofit(s), after school programs, and/or mentoring/tutoring programs.

6. Participate and/or sponsor community events.

7. Percent of employees who live in Winchester-Clark County.

8. Percent of management team who live in Winchester-Clark County.

9. Participation in local training and professional development opportunities (ie. Leadership Winchester)

10. Actively seeks employees who have National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC)

11. Actively seeks employees who are Veterans.

Rating

The CPP rates business on a scale from one to three stars based on the criteria set above. Any business, organization, or industry may apply annually (calendar year). Each CPP star is awarded in good standing for a time period of two years. After the two year expiration period, the applicant must reapply to remain in the CPP.

Scoring

Applications are reviewed and scored by an independent committee. Stars are awarded based on the percentage of the final number of points earned to points possible. An applicant with an average score of 70% - 79% will earn one star. An applicant with an average score of 80% - 89% will earn two stars. And an applicant with an average score of 90% or above will earn three stars.

Policy & Approval

The Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce Commerce Advocacy Team (CAT) sets all policy and criteria outlined in the CPP rating system with final approval from the Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors (BOD).

The CAT reviews all applicants and makes a CPP rating recommendation to the BOD. Final approval is set by a majority vote of the Winchester-Clark County Chamber of Commerce BOD.

Applictions

Each applicant will submit a narrative telling how they meet each of the criteria outlined above and how the Winchester-Clark County community benefits from their initiatives. The details and information given on the application helps support the best overall score.
